St. Peter’s United Church of Christ is a “growing church serving a growing community.” It is a family church where people can feel the love of God through being nurtured in the Word and through the loving fellowship of brothers and sisters who share the faith.
Here we accept one another and encourage each other through worship, Bible study, prayer groups, organizations and community involvement. We warmly welcome you to share your life with us as we share with you the special call to be God’s people in the church, the home, the community and the world.
“I was glad when they said to me, ‘let us go to the house of the Lord.'”
An exciting and inspiring worship service awaits you each Sunday morning (check our worship schedule for hours). Hear an inspiring sermon. Enjoy exhilarating anthems and hymns. Be encouraged by the fellowship of new friends. Special messages for children, education, nursery care, and children’s bulletins help provide a family atmosphere. Large print bulletins are available and there is an elevator entrance for easy accessibility.
Christian Education & Youth Groups
An excellent Christian education program is available for children 2 years through Senior High and adults, plus nursery care for infants. The children participate in the beginning of each worship service. After the Children’s Chat the children attend their classes where they sing, hear Bible stories and create arts and crafts. There are several adult Bible study groups which meet as scheduled in the weekly bulletin and church calendar. Our Junior and Senior High youth groups meet monthly to plan events and service projects.
Our church has a Sanctuary Choir, handbell choir, and a children’s chime choir.
- Coffee hour after the worship service on Sunday.
- All-church dinners throughout the year and for special occasions.
- Several fellowship groups which meet monthly.
- Other groups who meet in our church include a boy scout troop, yoga classes, and movement works dance.
- Opportunities for service in both church and community.
- State approved Preschool for children ages 3-5 years.
Weddings are always a joyous occasion at St. Peter’s UCC. For more information on facility arrangements, please check our Wedding Page.
We offer two ways to make donations on-line, Vanco and PayPal. Vanco should be used to perform a direct payment from a bank account to the designated church fund. Upon the first use, a new user account must be made. That account will be used for future donations. PayPal can be used to make donations using your debit or credit card. You do NOT need to set up a PayPal account to use their donation service. Please use the < Donate > button in the navigation table on the left which will open a new page with PayPal donate buttons available (depending on which fund you wish to donate to) as well as a Vanco link at the bottom of the page to continue using their service for donations. Either site should never send an e-mail asking for sensitive information (such as your username/password). Do not click on a link in any e-mail regarding the on-line donations. Take care of any e-mail notices of concern by visiting your account directly (even by using the < Donate > button to reach the site).
